The brass band arrangement, specifically. I've asked in local music shops and apparently it's out of print. I've found a few MIDI files on the net, but when I load them into Garageband and look at the editor, it doesn't tie in with what's actually being played. Is there a PDF of it online or anything? Sadly it is not so much out of print as not available in the first place.
The Rodrigo estate were NOT happy about the arrangement being featured on Brassed Off and basically put a ban on it being published. That said, there are a great number of illegal photocopies out there if you know who to ask.
Are you after the whole band parts, or just the solo line? Mainly the solo line, but if there was a full band part it'd be fun to stick it in GarageBand and play along. Would Jens have arranged it/got someone else to arrange it from the guitar score then? It's for nothing more than personal enjoyment. I love the piece and my guitar skills are NOT up to scratch!! (I don't play classical guitar) It's the piece that kinda inspired me to learn trumpet (even though it's a flugel solo in Brassed Off) so it would be nice to get hold of a copy somehow. The Grimethorpe Colliery Band is the group who played in the movie. I have three of their CD's and it's on there as well. Either you can try to contact them to see where they got it from, or you could work on your ears and transcribe the solo line by ear.that is if that's all you're after and it's only for your own personal pleasure. 2005 Bach Stradivarius 43. 1973 Bach Stradivarius 37 Conn 8D double F/Bb horn euphgal1 New Member Joined: 10 Mar 2008 Posts: 7 Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Posted: Tue May 06, 2008 9:47 am Post subject: Yup, that's a great flugelhorn solo with brass band.
Yes, that arrangement is nearly impossible to find. I have copy of it (not Brassed Off arr) and it is arranged by Darrol Barry. I believe the Rodrigo estate pulled the copyright so none of the publishers can print it. I've transcribed the solo line and can send it to you if you like. But if anyone has the full score I would be eternally grateful.

But I tried to transcribe this solo. This is my first transcription so far.
Therefore I would like to check back how close I am So I am wondering if anyone can supply me with a copy? Thanks in advance.
